The benefits of random acts of Kindness
Altruism

Living in a challenging world can sometimes cause others to feel forgotten. I believe showing random acts of kindness can bring happiness and joy. I think that if you do something beautiful for someone, a relative, or non-relative, there are benefits to showing kindness. Small things can make a significant difference in someone elseβs life. For example, holding the door for someone who is handicapped or may have their hands full β or smiling at someone who is having a rough day. These kinds of gestures can remind an individual that someone cares and may uplift them. I believe when you have positive energy and sow good seeds towards others by treating people the way that you want to be treated, good things come back to you.
In addition to that, I remember one day I was having a rough day on the job, an employee whom I have never seen saw me in passing and smiled at me. Her smile was warm and angelic! It radiated positive energy and compassion; my mood instantly boosted. Later that day, when I went into the office, I saw a sticky note on my desk, with a smiley face that read,β I hope this brings you joyβ (Butler). Her kindness encouraged me and reminded me that someone does care. Another life-changing moment was when my friend bought me a car for my birthday. He overheard me, stating that I wanted a newer car. He surprised me one day by contacting me and asking me to meet up with him at a nearby dealership. I met with him, and he told me to pick a car. I was jolly and began to look at the many vehicles on the lot. After a few minutes of searching, I saw a dark blue Mitsubishi truck that I fell in love with. I told my friend the car I liked, and he bought it and gave me a tight hug. He said, βhappy birthday I hope you know that I love youβ (Carter). His selfless acts of kindness caused me to become overwhelmed with joy and brought us closer together. It made me realize that he cared about me and my desires. Demonstrating a selfless act, of kindness, can inspire and bring people closer.
Moreover, a friend who I have not seen in a while contacted me. He was having a rough day and needed some encouragement, so; I invited him on a nature walk in the park. Before our scheduled time to meet, I prepared him a meal. Which was spontaneous; I cooked salmon, white rice, and steamed vegetables. While walking, I told him how proud I was of him and encouraged him to continue perfecting his craft. It gave him hope and inspired him to continue writing songs and making music. While walking, we rested on a rock near the water and discussed our goals and interest. Sitting by the water and feeling the cool breeze was relaxing and therapeutic. He was able to eat a delicious meal which he loved. He was happy, relaxed, and stated that he felt relieved. We also saw some beautiful horses and took a picture and were able to create a beautiful moment together.
Acts of kindness can have positive effects, such as happiness and joy. The process of creating an unforgettable moment through thoughtfulness and creativity can be influential.
Lastly, random acts of kindness can bring happiness, joy, and be a turning point for those who experience it. In this situation, my friend and I were able to bond and experience a pleasurable moment together. That is why demonstrating a selfless act of kindness can inspire and bring people closer.
